Festival of Trees is a local tradition that captures the magic of the holidays while bringing the community together in support of education and community needs. Proceeds from this years’ event will be used to support School District 25’s Education Foundation, Idaho State University student scholarships, the local Alzheimer's Association, United Way of Southeastern Idaho and Make-A-Wish Idaho.
From November 15–18, Idaho State University’s L.E. and Thelma E. Stephen’s Performing Arts Center will be transformed into a wonderland of beautifully decorated trees and displays, with entertainment and attractions scheduled daily. Some of these events include the Grand Holiday Gala (held the night before the Festival is open to the public), Children's Royal Tea Party, Breakfast with Santa, musical performances, and more.

Cozy in their winter jammies, our youngest Festival guests and their chaperones join Santa and Mrs. Claus for a special breakfast. Guests will enjoy a light breakfast, fun entertainment, a raffle, and face painting. Guests will also have the opportunity to capture a photo memory with other holiday characters. This fun, family-friendly event is recommended for families with children ages 2-8.

A cherished annual holiday tradition, the Children’s Royal Tea Party welcomes guests in their finest royal attire to enjoy a light, kid-friendly meal, games, a royal parade and special appearances by princesses, princes and other special guests. Tables are decorated with a different character themes and feature a special gift for guests to take home.

The Festival of Trees would not be complete without holiday music and entertainment. Featuring live local talent, both individuals and ensembles will perform at various times and locations throughout the Festival. Choirs, bands, drama, and dance groups featuring PCSD 25 learners, as well as private and charter schools throughout the community, fill the venue annually to the delight of our guests.

Tree Donation
Beautifully decorated trees and wreaths are the hallmark of this annual tradition. Designs can be as simple or creative as you wish. Themes from seasons passed have included Vintage St. Nick, 12 Days of Christmas, Joy to the World, Sounds of the Season, and more. Community donations are the heart and soul of the Festival of Trees. From festive wreaths to generous gift certificates, extravagant gift baskets to cash donations, the time, resources and talent that our community puts into making the Festival come alive pays enormous dividends that are returned directly to our local community.
