Established in 2023, Financial Literacy Week aims to educate and increase understanding in financial planning, taxes, estate planning, real estate, insurance and more. All events are free and include cash prize giveaways.

Finance Trivia Pop-ups

April 1 & 2 | 12:00pm - 1:00pm in Rendezvous (on the 1st) and the SUB (on the 2nd): We'll be spreading the word about Financial Literacy Week across campus! Stop by and play our 'Let's Get This Bread' trivia game to win donuts and swag. These pop-ups will also be great places to get your Financial Literacy Week punch card - attend all of the next week's events for a chance at winning the biggest cash prize of the week!

 

Adulting 101: Buying a Car and a Home

Monday, April 6 | 4:00pm in BA 104: Thinking about buying your first car or first home but not sure where to start? This interactive session breaks down credit, loans and smart buying tips in a way that actually makes sense. Come listen, ask questions, get real-world advice and leave feeling confident about your next big purchase.

 

Movie Night

Tuesday, April 7 | 7:00pm at the Bengal Theater: Join us for a free screening of The Ultimate Gift - the story of a deceased billionaire who leaves his spoiled adult grandson a series of odd tasks to perform in order to receive "the ultimate gift," with the grandson having no idea what that gift might be. Discussion of the financial relevancy of the film to follow. Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase.

Thursday, April 9 | 4:00pm in BA 104: Get help planning for your immediate and long-term financial future. Learn how to navigate ISU’s financial aid and scholarship process effectively, then explore foundational retirement planning concepts that can make a lasting impact.
