Kenneth and Marion Ewer Marketing and Management Scholarship Endowment

J. Kenneth Ewer, born in 1905, married Marion in 1928 and lived most of his life in Pocatello. He began working in marketing at age 11, delivering circulars for a movie house and attributes his success in merchandising to the help of Mr. John Rennie. Mr. Rennie challenged Mr. Ewer's arithmetic and taught him rapid mental calculation in the days when there were no adding machines. He also taught him the fine points of figuring costs and setting prices. The Kenneth and Marion Ewer Marketing and Management Scholarship Endowment was established through a bequest from the Ewers in 1991.
