Idaho State University to present Humanities Café surrounding the role of art and dance in the community on Feb. 9

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s College of Arts and Letters will hold its third Humanities Café of the year on Feb. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Bengal Theater. The event will include dance performances and a discussion, led by dance professor Aaron Wood, about the role of art and dance in the community titled, “Dance and Embodied Activism.”

ISU Hispanic Awareness Leadership Organization to host Noche Latina: A Red Carpet Event on Feb. 4

POCATELLO – The Los Angeles-based Cathlene Pineda Quartet will headline the 30th annual Idaho State University Jazz Fest on Friday, Feb 3, at the Portneuf Valley Brewery and Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Irish Rovers to return to Pocatello to perform at ISU Feb. 14

POCATELLO – About 35 or 40 years ago, The Irish Rovers performed in Pocatello, and they’ll be back to perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Idaho State University during the second year of the group’s 50th-anniversary tour.
