CAMP (Communication, Art, Media, Persuasion)

A first of its kind program in Southeast Idaho, the ISU's CAMP (Communication, Art, Media, and Persuasion) is a two-day college experience for high school students. This year's CAMP will take place on June 8 and 9. Students stay in on-campus housing, participate in workshops in ISU's state-of-the-art facilities, tour and experience the ISU campus and develop relationships with ISU faculty.

ISU Creative Jazz Academy

Join Idaho State University's jazz director, Jon Armstrong, and music teachers from the Pocatello area for the first annual ISU Creative Jazz Academy from June 12 to June 16. Musicians will have the opportunity to play in small ensemble work lead by faculty members, play music as a large ensemble, and arrange and compose with ensemble leaders.

Summer Institute for Piano and Strings (SIPS)

Our 2017 Summer Institute for Piano and Strings (SIPS) will take place June 19 to June 23, with registration and check­in on Sunday, June 18.Through the Summer Institute for Piano and Strings, advanced pianists and string players in Southeast Idaho have the opportunity to rehearse, coach and perform chamber music designed for strings and piano. This week-­long camp is for serious students who are entering 8th through 12th grades.

Students at ISU's Conservatory Theatre Camp

ISU Conservatory Theatre Camp

This year we will host the second annual Summer Theatre Conservatory Camp from June 26 to June 30. This camp will offer a unique, hands-on learning experience for junior high and high school-age kids of every performance and experience level. This camp will be held at the state-of-the-art Stephens Performing Arts Center on the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello, Idaho. Workshops and classes are taught by community professionals, ISU’s music and theatre students and alumni.

ISU Summer Dance Festival

The College of Arts & Letters will host the first annual ISU Summer Dance Festival from June 26 to June 30. The inaugural camp is designed for dancers age 13 and up. Dancers will have the opportunity to participate in workshops in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop taught by renowned ISU dance faulty and community professionals.

Marching Band Camp

The ISU Summer Marching Band Camp is an intense and fun three day camp in July. Work with the ISU Music Faculty and special guest artists as you delvelop your music and marching skills. Camp Dates are July 11 to July 13.
