Don't look for greener grass, water yours.

Hey future Bengals! I'm Meadow Link and I'm studying Nursing along with Spanish for Health Professions. I'm headed into my second year here and my goodness the first year of college is quite a whirlwind. I'm super excited to meet my mentees and help support them through the big college transition. There's a lot of ins and outs to know about ISU and I'm happy to share them  all! I am from a small town called Melba. It's a small farming town about an hour outside Boise.  I'm also a first-generation college student. So, if you need any advice about first-generation stuff or struggling with the transition of a rural home to a bigger city, I'm your girl!

I'm a huge geek when it comes to anything and everything about medicine! I'm a CNA, EMT, and currently work in physical therapy. In my free time I volunteer at the animal shelter, read, and my personal favorite, golf. Ask me about golf and I will talk your ear off! Coming from Melba, my community spoke a lot of Spanish. I started learning it to better be able to communicate with my peers and community and before I knew it, I fell in love with the language. With my Spanish for Health Professions degree, I hope to help make healthcare more accessible and less daunting when someone doesn't speak English.

My biggest piece of advice for our future Bengals is don't stress the little stuff and don't compare your journey to others. Everyone has their own paths and timelines, don't worry about matching yours with your peers. Just focus on you and do what's best for you!
