“Whatever you do, always give 100%. Unless you’re donating blood.” - Bill Murray

Hello everyone! My name is Madelyn, and I am a Psychology and Sociology double major. I completed a lot of college credits in high school, so I got thrown into college with a lot less time to be here and a lot of big decisions to make very quickly. Despite this, I survived and even thrived during my first year here at ISU. I can attest to the fact that the first year of college is crazy and difficult and confusing, but it is also very fun and a mountain that you can climb. As your mentor, I’ll be there to help you every step of the way and be available to answer any questions you may have. I promise college is not as scary as it seems; more than anything else, it’s about figuring out who you are and what you want to do. Whatever previous experience or credits you’re bringing with you to college, and whatever big decisions you might have to make, I’m here to lend a helping hand and a calming presence to remind you that you can do this.

On another note about me, I’m a very go with the flow type of person. I like to read, play the piano, ski, and yap with genuinely anyone who wants to talk. I’m a chronic planner, and I’m generally down to try anything as long as I’ve had time to mentally prepare for it. I love making friends and welcome being contacted. Text me, call me, meet with me a million times - I will not find reaching out for help to be a bother. I can occasionally be found out and about on a run with a friend on the warmer days or skiing at Pebble Creek in the winter. If you see me around, say hello! I can’t wait to meet you!
