"Working hard is important, but there's something that matters even more: believing in yourself." —Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Hi everyone! My name is Izzy, and I am super excited to be a peer mentor this year. I am working toward a degree in Nuclear Engineering. My hope is to eventually begin working in the power industry, focusing on helping small communities with unreliable access to electricity. I also want to inspire others to follow their dreams, no matter how big, small, or difficult they may be. I am so excited to be a part of your journey through college and help this transition be seamless.

Before college, I played sports year-round, including volleyball, basketball, and softball. I love to hike and be outdoors, or you will catch me cuddled up in bed with a good book. Since starting college, I have joined Greek life on campus and have begun my path as a Civic Scholar. For as long as I can remember, I enjoyed building things. At first, I was very interested in robotics and coding, but after I took chemistry, I found my true passion lay in radioactive isotopes. I have really enjoyed my first year here at ISU, and I am so excited for you to experience this too!
