Bread Tastes Better Than Key
Hi! My name is Brycen Talbot. I am a sophomore majoring in Health Science with a pre-dental focus. I'm originally from Malad, Idaho, a small town about 45 minutes south of campus. Outside of school, I enjoy staying active through hiking, biking, and running. I am so excited to serve as a peer mentor this year. Getting involved at ISU helped me adjust to college and find my place here, and I hope to help new students do the same. I look forward to supporting you as you settle into ISU and make the most of your college experience.
“Bread tastes better than key” is an analogy that speaks to the human tendency to choose what satisfies the moment over what secures the future. Pleasure is tangible; possibility is not. We often trade liberation for comfort. But meaning lies beyond convenience, and growth begins when we choose the key, even when the bread feeds us now.
