“You will soon be well, if I do not talk you to death” - Gandalf, The Fellowship of the Ring
Hello hello!
First of all, I’m so happy that you’re part of the ISU community and I can’t wait to meet you! Second, I’m Anjali - and I answer to anything that sounds even vaguely like my name, so just give it your best shot!
I’m a third culture kid from India and Wyoming studying to be an international investigative journalist. I work for a fair trade company based out of Zambia, Africa in research and PR, so people and words are what I’m all about!
Growing up in India, I gained a passion for cultural discovery and connection, as well as anti-wastefulness. If every day I can grow more into being someone who is more connected, more people-oriented, and less wasteful of words, time, and resources, then I am right where I want to be. My hope is that I can be a voice on campus that is trustworthy and deeply invested in my fellow students having the best ISU experience they can!
Something I wish I learned sooner is to never forget that asking for help doesn’t make you a burden, it actually draws you closer in a really beautiful way. If you need a place to de-stress or recover, my door is always open. Bring an instrument and jam, bring an ingredient and cook, bring homework and crash out, or bring a story and share! I’ll look forward to it.
