Recognized for Quality
In 1978, the Idaho State University College of Business became the first business school in the state of Idaho to receive accreditation from the international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The AACSB represents “the longest serving global association dedicated to advancing management education worldwide,” and accredits less than five percent of schools granting business degrees in the world. The College of Business’ accounting program is also separately accredited as one of only 189 schools holding both accounting and business accreditation.
The flexible BBA is a unique opportunity for College of Business students to easily double major in management, marketing, economics or finance taking few to no extra courses.
Real Product Selling
In our personal selling course, students have the opportunity to develop a marketing plan and sell real products to benefit student scholarships. Students work with the management department to sell the student-written books, researched and published by the management 4499 honors course.
Local Business Market Research
In these courses, students have the opportunity to research local businesses and their industries to build a complete marketing plan while competing in a group setting with their peers. Students have the opportunity to present their recommendations to the business owners and have even gained internships from their projects.
Join the Marketing Association
The ISU Marketing Association facilitates the opportunity to gain valuable networking experience for students who are passionate about marketing. The Marketing Association hosts guest speakers, provides job shadowing opportunities, and visits to various marketing organizations. In addition, the Marketing Association works with other clubs on campus and local companies to assist in their marketing efforts, providing members with hands-on experience in this industry.
