Study Abroad for the Spring 2019 Semester at the University of Almeria in Spain!

ERASMUS + is a European exchange program that offers funding for student opportunities to study abroad outside European borders. ISU is fortunate to have been granted those funds for the Spring 2019 semester to use at the University of Almeria in Spain! The grant covers a significant portion of travel costs and allows for a monthly stipend towards room and board while in Spain. You must be a full time student and continue to pay your ISU tuition here at ISU for the Spring semester.

Funding provided for Almeria:

You will receive 800 Euros per month of stay and the travel grant is 1,100 Euros. The first payment is received upon students’ arrival at Almeria.

Majors: Business (including Finance, Administration, Marketing, Economics), Spanish, English studies, Biology and Chemistry.

Minimum Criteria:

  • 2.5 or higher GPA
  • Majoring in ove of the above fields of study
  • Undergraduate level
  • B1 Cambridge Spanish level required for science and Spanish majors. (minimum of 4 semesters in Spanish; FLATS or CLEP test)

Selection Procedure Point System:

  • Campus participation during 17/18 Academic year: 3 points
  • Taken any international/cultural courses (list courses): 1 point per class
  • Statement of Purpose- up to 8 points
    • General objectives (up to 2 points)
    • Value of Study Abroad experience for you (up to 2 points)
    • Activities to be undertaken (up to 2 points)
    • Impact of the experience at ISU (how will you promote study abroad in the future? (up to 2 points)
  • Punctuality with documents (application, official transcript): (5 points)
