Scholarships & Financial Aid
The Idaho State University Occupational Therapy program participates in the Professional Student Exchange Program through the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Program. WICHE helps students to enroll in selected out-of-state professional programs not offered in their resident state. Outbound students and their families save money through reduced tuition arrangements. If you are a resident of Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Montana, or Wyoming, you are encouraged to contact the certifying office in your state or the WICHE Office in Boulder, CO at the following address:
Occupational Therapy Program Scholarships and Awards
Occupational Therapy Academic Merit Scholarships: For each first year MOT class three persons are awarded a $1,500 Academic Merit Scholarship. These persons must have demonstrated outstanding records in their undergraduate GPA and the Graduate Records Examination or Miller Analogies Test.
The Arthur "AJ" P. Lloyd, Jr. Endowment Scholarship Fund: The family of AJ Lloyd Jr. established the Arthur "AJ" P. Lloyd, Jr. Endowment Scholarship Fund in memory of their son, who passed away in February 2004. AJ was a 2001 graduate of the ISU Occupational Therapy program. The approximately $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an MOT student who is completing his or her first year of the Occupational Therapy program.
American Occupational Therapy Association Student Conclave Award:
One $1,000 American Occupational Therapy Association Student Conclave Award is offered each fall.
American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference Award
Two $1,000 American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference Awards are offered each spring; one for a first year student and one for a second year student.
Idaho Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference Award:
Two $300 Idaho Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference Awards are offered each fall; one for a second year student and one for a third year student.
The Arthur "AJ" P. Lloyd, Jr. Outstanding Achievement Award: The Arthur "AJ" P. Lloyd, Jr. Outstanding Achievement Award is given to a third year Occupational Therapy student who has earned the highest grade point average through his or her course of study within the program.
Idaho Occupational Therapy Association Outstanding Student Award: The Idaho Occupational Therapy Association Outstanding Student Award is funded by the Idaho Occupational Therapy Association to recognize the Occupational Therapy student who has demonstrated excellence in the clinical setting.
Occupational Therapy Outstanding Research Award: This award is given to the Occupational Therapy student who has completed a project that has the potential to substantially contribute to the body of knowledge in occupational therapy.
