Pharmacy Fusion is a dynamic broadcast covering a broad array of topics related to the ISU L. S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy. Listen to KISU-FM on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm to hear how students, faculty, alumni and supporters are forging new pathways for advancing pharmacy practice laws in Idaho, engaging in cutting edge research on new and emerging drug treatments, innovative drug delivery methods, telepharmacy and psychopharmacology advancements, and more. Guests from a variety of backgrounds, including not just pharmacy but pharmaceutical sciences and clinical psychopharmacology will join host Tom Wadsworth, interim dean for the College of Pharmacy for discussions spanning far beyond the pharmacy counter.

  • September 2023 - There are many pathways a person can take in choosing their career. Have you ever thought about how many people have degrees they aren't using? Chris Nicolette thought he wanted to be a pharmacist but along the way realized how much he loved the science of studying drug interactions in the human body. Now, he's working to earn a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at ISU, and looking forward to a promising future in the world of pharmacology and drug discovery.
  • June 2023 - In this episode of Pharmacy Fusion, we learn about Dr. Ratka and how she has distinguished herself worldwide as an extraordinary leader and innovator in the fields of pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, and pharmacy education.
  • May 2023 - Dean Walter Fitzgerald welcomes new professor Solomon Tadesse to the show. They discuss Solomon's experience in the field, including drug discovery within Oncology.
  • April 2023 - Dr. Eric Silk joins Pharmacy Fusion host Dr. Walter Fitzgerald to discuss advancements in state law that allow psychologists to prescribe mental health medications for clients suffering from a variety of mental health disorders.
  • March 2023 - Dr. Jared Barrott talks about how pharmacogenomics helps doctors, pharmacists, and researchers predict success of medication therapy based on a patient’s genetics.
  • February 2023 - Love is in the air for this Valentine’s Day episode of Pharmacy Fusion. Student pharmacists Rebecca King and David Truong tell their story of meeting and falling in love during pharmacy school, along with providing some heart healthy tips.
  • January 2023 - What are your New Year’s resolutions? If you’re like most people, they probably don’t include talking with a pharmacist! But did you know, your pharmacist can actually help with a lot of the very common resolutions, such as living a healthier life, losing weight, learning something new and even saving money?

  • November 2022 - Dr. Karl Maderas Kelly provides insight on antibiotic resistance and its affects on Idaho and across the U.S.
  • October 2022 - Dr. Scott Milner, Class of 2009 takes us inside the unseen world of pharmacy services in a hospital setting, and how the process is both similar and different compared to a community pharmacy.
  • September 2022 - Pharmacy Fusion offers an inside look, in an easy to understand format, at the new guidelines and availability of COVID-19, monkeypox, meningitis and influenza immunizations with Dr. Kevin Cleveland and student pharmacist Allie Bradley.
  • August 2022 - Dr. Tom Wadsworth talks about Idaho's outreach to Alaska, and creating the first pharmacy school there, through ISU's partnership with University of Alaska, Anchorage. 
  • July 2022 - Dr. Rikki Trussel is the new manager at Bengal Pharmacy, overseeing all three locations for community pharmacy services in Pocatello, Arco and Challis, ID
  • June 2022 - Pharmacy Fusion features a very special guest this month, Dr. Steve White, a two-time Idaho State alumnus and recent recipient of the College of Pharmacy Professional Achievement award.
  • May 2022 - Dr. Renee Robinson talks about the research initiatives students and faculty are involved in, related to the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Science.
  • April 2022 - An in depth look at many of the fascinating College of Pharmacy research initiatives with Dr. Marvin Schulte.
  • March 2022 - Pharmacy Fusion explores how to manage and treat a diagnosis of diabetes with Dr. Cara Liday.
  • February 2022 - On this episode of Pharmacy Fusion, Debbie Marchetti, Class of 1999 shares how increasing awareness of prediabetes can help reduce the incidence of diabetes.
  • January 2022 - Pharmacy Fusion Speaks with Operation Immunization national award winners, student pharmacists Hannah Galbreth, Liv Swonger and Elise Capson.
