Computer Requirements

The ISU PA Program requires all students to have a laptop prior to courses beginning in the fall semester. Your laptop or tablet PC must meet the following specifications.

Operating System:	Windows 10/11 or MacOS 13 Ventura (or newer) Note: Due to limited support for Mac devices, we recommend PC over Mac if you are unfamiliar with Macs and are purchasing a new computer. Software used for exams is not compatible with mobile operating systems (Windows RT, Android, Mac iOS, Chrome OS) or ARMx64, so having a secondary device using this type of operating system is fine as long as you also have a laptop or tablet that runs Windows 10/11 or Mac OS 13 Ventura (or newer) for taking tests.
Mandatory Software (Current Versions):	Microsoft Office 2019, Office 365, or Office 2019 for Mac (must include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Note: Educational pricing may be available and lower than the retail price. Be sure to check out the University Bookstore and directly with the Microsoft Store for Education before purchasing Microsoft Office! Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Antivirus software for Windows machines such as Norton, McAfee, AVG, Avast, etc.
