Dr Georgios Kapogiannis is an Interdisciplinary researcher and an Assistant Professor of Project Management at WMG, University of Warwick, specializing in digital innovation, strategic leadership, and sustainability in the built environment. His research focuses on how emerging technologies—BIM, Digital Twins, AI, blockchain, and immersive technologies—can transform project delivery, enhance resilience, and create sustainable infrastructure.

He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, holds two patents in China (Robotics and BIM), and collaborates internationally across Europe, China, the Middle East, and Africa. He has led and contributed to pioneering projects such as RoboBIM, CoSpaces, and RESSEEPE, with a combined value exceeding £25 million, advancing digital innovation across construction, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Recognized with innovation awards in the UK, China, and Qatar, his career includes roles at Anglia Ruskin University, the University of Aberdeen (Qatar Campus), the University of Nottingham (China Campus), and Glodon (Shanghai/Beijing). He also reviews for Q1 journals, EU Horizon, and UKRI, and holds Visiting Faculty roles at Idaho State University (USA) and Taylor’s University (Malaysia).
