We are excited to offer a variety of summer activities from camps at the Museum to field experiences! Many of our camps will run multiple times. Price includes all supplies, materials, and transportation. Lunch will not be provided by the Museum. 

Space is limited and registration is required, no same day registration.

St. George Spring Break Camp

Join the IMNH team in St. George, Utah for a week of excavating fossils of dinosaurs, sharks, and other amazing animals at the world-famous St. George Dinosaur Site. Participants will be camping in the desert near St. George and will assist in excavations Monday afternoon through Friday morning.
No experience required.
Cost includes transportation and all meals on-site. Participants must supply their own camping gear and are responsible for meals during travel to/from the site.

Dinosaur Dig Volunteer Training

Join the IMNH as we venture to Wyoming and assist teams working to dig up dinosaur mummies and bone beds. This is a great way to get hands-on experience prospecting for dinosaur fossils as well as working in an active dinosaur quarry. This camp is for teens and adults to receive training in paleontology field techniques in order to become active volunteers in the field with the IMNH in the future. No experience is necessary. Cost includes transportation, instruction, and all meals on-site. Participants must supply their own camping gear and are responsible for meals during travel to/from the site.

Help them search for dinosaurs in rocks never been looked at by paleontologists and write the next chapter in Idaho's dinosaur research. Participants will also learn about volunteer opportunities at the museum if they would like to continue their training and prepare more fossils at the IMNH. Spaces are exceptionally limited due to the size of the lab.
