We are pleased to announce that we have extended our business hours to accommodate our customers' needs. We are open every day, except Mondays. 
• Tuesday-Thursday noon to 5 p.m.
• Friday noon to 8 p.m.
• Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

Complimentary parking is available in the Idaho State University's General Parking Lot 01, on the west-side of the pine trees. Can be accessed at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Dillon Street. Parking is marked for Museum Patrons. If museum parking is full a pass can be obtained at the front desk.

Your Safety is our Priority

The Museum has procedures to limit the number of guests in the gallery at one time, regularly sanitize interactive spaces after each group, and conduct deeper cleaning before each day. Face coverings are required at the Museum and will be provided complimentary with the purchase of admission. If you are concerned about waiting please call ahead (208) 282-3317.

Animation Virtual Workshop

Grades 5-8


Learn to draw cartoon characters from simple shapes, create a storyboard, and animate your own characters. We will meet virtually every day from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. You will have a chance to ask questions of the instructor and share your creations with the class. At the end of the workshop, you will have the option to display your work at the museum.

Our newest exhibition will surprise you! See how your skull measures up to our menagerie of ancient and modern animals. The skull is a real Swiss army knife, allowing animals to show off, hide, do battle, and consume prey in wildly different ways.
