RESIDENTS

	Rylan Anderson, DO Dr. Rylan Anderson graduated from Rocky Vista University. He was born and raised in Gunnison, Utah, where he spent much of his time working on the farm and playing sports. After high school, he served a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Milan, Italy. He then studied biology at Snow College and Southern Utah University. He met and married his wife during medical school and together, share a love for the outdoors and serving others. They plan on settling in the mountain west where they can raise a family and he can practice rural family medicine. He and his wife spend much of their free time with family, playing sports, or in the mountains where they enjoy hunting, fishing and dirt-biking. Dr. Anderson is excited to join and serve the Bannock County community.
	Smita Armstrong, MD Dr. Smita Armstrong graduated from the University of Arizona - Tucson College of Medicine. She has an interest in Behavioral Health and Preventative Medicine. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking and watching action movies.
	Bo Dayton, DO 1-2 Program Resident in Rexburg, Idaho Dr. Bo Dayton was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. Upon graduating from high school, he completed a two-year service mission in Ecuador where he learned Spanish and grew to love the latino people and culture. Upon returning from Ecuador he attended BYU—Idaho where he completed a degree in Exercise Physiology. His time spent studying the human body led him to pursue a medical degree at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Dayton is passionate about rural family medicine, where he can provide quality medical care to those in need and establish life-long relationships. He has aspirations of practicing in rural Idaho upon graduation. Outside of medicine, Dr. Dayton enjoys playing basketball, golf, and spending time outdoors with his wife and three spunky girls.
	Dominic "Nico" Haragos, MD Dr. Nico Haragos was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho and comes from a large Romanian family. In total he has 18 aunts and uncles and he absolutely loves having a big family. He would say that his family is probably the largest motivator for him to become a Family Medicine doctor. Being from Idaho, he enjoys the outdoors and playing sports. He met his wife through playing volleyball and it has been a favorite past time of theirs. They also enjoy playing pickleball. He is so happy to be part of the ISU Family Medicine Residency. He doesn't think there could have been a better match for him.
	Brigham Hardy, DO Dr. Brigham Hardy graduated from Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his bachelors from BYU-Idaho in human biology. He is fascinated by the human body and its resilience and ability to heal. He chose Family Medicine so that he could help his patients and their families live their life to the fullest. He hopes to practice in Idaho treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. He has a special interest in osteopathic manipulation and preventive medicine. In his free time he is camping with his family, trial running, and swimming.
	Landon Hillebrant, MD .Dr. Landon Hillebrant graduated from Ross University School of medicine. He was born and raised in southeast Idaho. He graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a bachelor's degree in public health. Prior to college he spent two years in Peru as a missionary where he became fluent in Spanish and saw firsthand the consequences of poor health care. And his passion to become a physician was born. He married a girl from Kansas City who he met while attending college. They now have three rambunctious boys. Dr. Hillebrant is proud to be from Idaho and plans to practice Broad full spectrum family medicine in Idaho after residency. He loves being outside playing with his boys, fly fishing, boating, snowboarding, barbecuing/smoking meat.
	Ryan Hudgens, DO Dr. Ryan Hudgens graduated from Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Utah. He is passionate about rural family medicine and excited about the many opportunities that ISUFM and Pocatello have to offer. Outside of medicine Ryan loves spending time with his wife and children, taking them on outdoor adventures as often as possible. Ryan also enjoys mountain biking and golf.
	Zachary "Zach" Nelson, DO 1-2 Program Resident in Rupert, Idaho Dr. Zach Nelson graduated from Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine—ICOM. He hails from Ucon, Idaho. Family medicine is his passion due to its wide scope of practice. He is interested in the challenges and options that a Family Physician can have in providing a breadth of care in differing circumstances. In his free time, you’ll find Zach spending time with his wife and four children, playing basketball, hiking, reading a book with a cat on his lap, and spending time outside.
	Michael Mills, DO Dr. Michael Mills was raised in a farming community in rural Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University before working a few years in an emergency department in Fargo, North Dakota. He returned to the valley of the sun where he completed his medical education at Midwestern University Glendale.He is excited to pursue his passion promoting holistic health throughout the lifetime and to strengthen his skills in addiction medicine and wilderness medicine. Outside of patient care, you can find him hiking the trails around Pocatello, rock climbing, backpacking, or enjoying the surrounding national parks.
	James Scott, DO Dr. James Scott graduated from The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is originally from Camas, Washington. He was drawn to family medicine because of the broad scope of practice and the ability to form life long relationships with patients. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
	Darya Skrenes, MD Dr. Darya Skrenes comes to ISU from St. George’s University School of Medicine. Darya grew up in remote British Columbia and has lived in various countries including South Africa, Ghana, Grenada and Australia. With her love for full-spectrum medicine and passion to travel, Darya hopes to work in underserved communities and work intermittently with Doctors Without Boarders in Africa. She enjoys almost any sport, the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and is an avid doubles beach volleyball player.

Pharmacotherapy Residents

Kristen Caldwell, PharmD

Kristen Caldwell was born and raised in Parma, Idaho. Her mother inspired her to join the healthcare field with the work and relationships she observed with her mom and her patients. This led her to follow her passion for healthcare at ISU College of Pharmacy. She is eager to establish meaningful connections with patients and assist them in achieving their healthcare goals. As for life outside work she is a devoted cat lover with two cats Oreo and Griffith. She finds joy in crocheting, hot yoga, diving into a good book, and spending quality time with her husband and family.

Mary Cutright, PharmD

Mary Cutright completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Idaho State University. She originally comes from Fresno, CA where she worked as an aircraft mechanic on firefighting helicopters for 6 years. Life ultimately led her to the Marsh Valley area where her husband could be close to his family. Mary has an interest in rural medicine and a passion for learning. She hopes to develop her skills as a clinical pharmacist to best help her future patients. In her free time, you can catch her traveling with her family, paddleboarding, being outside, or just relaxing at home.

Mikaela Davison, PsyD

	Shaylor Bringhurst, DO Dr. Shaylor Bringhurst was raised in McKinney, TX. He attended Brigham Young University, where he received a degree in Exercise Science after discovering his preference for medicine over engineering during a pivotal biology class. Shaylor spent two years in Chile, where he became fluent in Spanish. Since then, he has enjoyed going on medical missions to underserved areas of Central America. He graduated from VCOM-Louisiana and loved his medical school experience in the South, but now looks forward to laying down roots in Idaho. Shaylor's aspiration is to practice full-scope family medicine in a quiet place somewhere in the West. In his leisure time, Dr. Bringhurst enjoys playing sports, hiking, fixing things, and spending time with his wife Annie and their five children.
	Weston Burrup, DO Dr. Weston Burrup was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. He graduated with a degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology from BYU-Utah and then attended A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona. Prior to his education, he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Orange County, California where he learned Spanish. He is passionate about being able to provide medical services in Spanish and has spent extra time during his educational years receiving further training in medical Spanish. While in medical school, he also spent an extra year in developing advanced skills in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) in order to be able to provide an additional treatment option for his patients. On a personal level, Dr. Burrup is married to his sweetheart from Alaska and has enjoyed being able to show her Idaho. They have one daughter with more kids likely forthcoming. When they can, they enjoy fly fishing and spending time in the great outdoors.
	Bethany Gold, DO 1-2 Program Resident in Rupert, Idaho Dr. Bethany Gold is passionate about living life to its fullest and helping others to do the same. She was raised in a small town in Idaho, where she learned to love the outdoors. She enjoys staying active through hiking, biking, skiing, weight training and walking with her dog. Growing up in a small town also allowed her to know her neighbors and begin to recognize the value of relationships. Dr. Gold comes to the Idaho State University Family Medicine Residency as a graduate of the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. She loves to educate and share the knowledge she has gained to allow those around her to expand their understanding of nature, science, or a specific disease condition or medication effect and is committed to utilizing the skills and knowledge she learned there to help her patients to meet their personal wellness goals.
	Emma Hammer, MD Dr. Emma Hammer graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She grew up in Helena, Montana and went to college at Montana State University. She has broad interests within family medicine and plans to practice in a small town after residency. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog. She also enjoys getting outside skiing or hiking, cooking, reading, and exercising.
	Nathan Hammer, DO Dr. Nathan Hammer was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. He completed his undergraduate education at Montana State University, where he met his wife, Emma. He attended medical school at Rocky Vista University in Parker, Colorado. Outside of medicine, Nathan enjoys powerlifting, golfing, and playing with the family French Bulldog, Hazelnut. After finishing residency, he plans to practice rural family medicine in the Mountain West.
	Braeden Leiby, MD Dr. Braeden Leiby was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. He graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in sport & exercise science. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. His research interests to date include ultrasound-guided treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, orthobiologic treatment to treat common non-operative musculoskeletal conditions, and the influence of hypothyroidism in slipped capital femoral epiphysis. In addition to preventive care, he is interested in sports medicine to care for athletes and the general population and ultrasound as a diagnostic aid and for procedure guidance. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family (wife, daughter, and 2 dogs), skiing, waterfowl hunting, golfing, exercising, and watching football and baseball. He is excited to be back home to serve the community that shaped him into who he is today.
	Nicholas "Nick" Longe, DO Dr. Nicholas Longe grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where he developed a great love of the outdoors. He grew up exploring the surrounding mountains where he loves to ski, bike, ride horses, and camp. He went to college in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in chemical engineering, before attending Rocky Vista University in Southern Utah, where he did a teaching fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. While at school, he met his lovely wife, and they were married in 2023. Dr. Longe is excited about preventative medicine and musculoskeletal medicine, helping patients to be able to do the things they enjoy for as long as possible.
	Luke Richards, DO 1-2 Program Resident in Rexburg, Idaho Dr. Luke Richards was raised on a dairy farm in Erda, Utah. He received a bachelor's in exercise science at Utah Valley University then graduated from Rocky Vista University. He hopes to return to a small community where he can practice rural family medicine including surgical obstetrics. He is married to a wonderful wife and together they are raising three beautiful children. His hobbies include working out, pickleball, and playing cornhole on boards he recently built.
	Evan Tayler, DO Dr. Evan Tayler was born and raised in the Heber Valley, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah where he majored in Spanish Language and a minor in history. During undergrad, he met his wife Brooklyn, a Las Vegas native. He attended medical school at PNWU in Yakima, Washington. He plans on practicing full-scope family medicine in a rural community where they can enjoy easy access to the great outdoors and all of its recreational opportunities. He is an avid cyclist and skier but enjoys any activity that gets him outside with his family.
