Financial Aid
Federal and State financial aid programs include the Federal Perkins Loan, State Student Incentive Grant, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant, and Federal Direct Loan. For need-based financial assistance, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA should be returned to the federal processor with accurate tax information, as soon as possible after January 1. Priority is given to completed applications received by March 1. Full-time students will register for a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester, which will give them full-time graduate student status through ISU. This will qualify students for deferment of previous student loans and for new student loans through the ISU Financial Aid Department. The first step in the Financial Aid process is to complete and submit a FAFSA. You must complete and submit a FAFSA every year you would like to be considered for Financial Aid. You can find the FASFA here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa
