Idaho State-Civic Symphony announces Julie Sorensen as interim conductor

POCATELLO – The Idaho State Civic-Symphony has named Julie Sorensen as interim conductor for the 2017-2018 season. Sorensen is currently part of Idaho State University’s music faculty and is the conductor of the symphony’s Youth Orchestra.

POCATELLO - Idaho State University will host a range of entertainment during the 2017-18 “A Season of Note” series with all performances at the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center’s Joseph C. and Cheryl H. Jensen Grand Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m.

ISU Summer Theatre program to present “Fiddler on the Roof”

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s summer musical “Fiddler on the Roof” will be performed on June 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16 and 17 in the Beverly B. Bistline Theatre of the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center. All performances start at 7:30 p.m., except a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on June 8.

POCATELLO – Idaho State University will hold its inaugural Fiddle Competition on National Fiddle Day, May 20, in Goranson Hall in the Fine Arts Building. The event will feature concerts, camping, food trucks, scholarships and more than $5,000 in prize money.
