Bengal Management Essentials

The Bengal Management Essentials Program 12 Week Program at Idaho State University is designed to support and empower Managers, Supervisors, Deans, Chairs, and others who lead people and processes across the university. Whether you are new to leadership at ISU or looking to strengthen your management skills, this program provides the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to lead with confidence and effectiveness in today’s higher education environment.

Through engaging and interactive sessions, participants will learn from subject matter experts across campus while exploring practical strategies for successful supervision and people management. The program emphasizes real-world application, professional growth, and collaboration, helping leaders build confidence in navigating the day-to-day responsibilities and challenges of leadership at ISU.

Throughout the program, participants will gain a stronger understanding of university processes, policies, and resources while developing skills in communication, employee support, and decision-making. Topics include understanding federal and state laws and ISU policies, navigating difficult conversations, understanding HR processes, and tools and strategies for effective supervision.

In addition to strengthening management competencies, participants will have opportunities to connect with colleagues from across campus, fostering valuable relationships and a network of peer support that extends beyond the program experience.
