Academic Research and Grants

The Idaho State University College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences has provided faculty support for research, classroom creativity, and professional development to advance in teaching, scholarship, and service over the past several years. All full-time and part-time faculty can apply for support through the Dean’s Office for the competitive Dean’s Excellence Funds to support student engagement and success, research, and professional development. Staff are invited to apply for Dean's Excellence Funds, but are only eligible for professional development funding.

In spring 2025 Carnegie Classifications, which included redesigned Research activity Designations. As part of that release, they classified Idaho State University as Research 2: High Spending and Doctorate Production.
