Step 1
Setup your MyISU Account
Idaho State students use MyISU to conduct all university-related business.
You can set up your account by visiting the link provided via email from iam@isu.edu.
Step 2
Check your ISU Email Account
Your ISU email is key to your success as a Bengal! Check it daily and add it to your phone for easy access. Use the same login details as MyISU. Just click the email icon in MyISU or log in at Gmail.com.

Step 3
Invest in yourself
You will be automatically considered for our merit scholarships as soon as you are fully admitted by the deadline (July 1, 2025).
You must accept these scholarships by August 1, 2025.
Check BOSS for even more scholarship opportunities, and be sure to complete your FAFSA to be considered for Pell Grant, Work-Study, Loans, and Need-Based scholarships.

“Live On” at Idaho State
University Housing provides secure, clean, and affordable living-learning environments for students. You can submit a housing application by logging into MyISU. Residence Halls fill up quickly, so we recommend applying as soon as possible.

Explore Additional Student Opportunities
University Honors Program
The University Honors Program offers enriched educational experiences for bright, talented, and ambitious undergraduate students. To qualify, you must complete a separate application; the priority deadline is January 15.

Consider coming to campus early and participating in the state’s largest summer bridge program, giving you access to complete 6-9 credits at only $65 per credit before the Fall semester begins.

Step 6
Complete your Pre-Orientation & Safe College Modules
These online courses will help you prepare to be a college student at Idaho State University. You will learn about Academics & Services, Campus Life, Student Policies, and Academic Advising, as well as your role in making ISU a safe place to live, work, and study.
Please note: you MUST complete the Title IX module within the pre-orientation system, or you will not be able to register for classes.
Step 7
Submit Transcripts and Test Scores
If you have completed dual credit coursework, submitting official transcripts for any finished courses before NSO can be very helpful. Additionally, you should bring unofficial transcripts for any in-progress courses to your NSO session, so your Academic Advisor can review them for class placement. Please note you must also submit final copies of any college or dual credit transcripts.
However, please note that you must submit official final high school and college transcripts once again after graduation, or your credits will not transfer, and you will be unable to register for your second semester.
Step 8
Secure your Math and English Class Placement
Before registering for classes, you will want to ensure that you have the proper math and English placement scores to set you up for success in your first year of college. If you have taken the SAT/ACT or completed dual enrollment courses in Math or English, you may already have the necessary requirements. However, completing the Write Class for English Placement and the ALEKS Test ahead of NSO will lead to a smoother registration process with your academic advisor and is highly encouraged.
Step 9
RSVP for New Student Orientation (NSO) and register for Fall 2025 Classes
During this important event, you will become familiar with the campus and get registered for your classes. NSO happens multiple times throughout the summer, but RSVP now to save your spot; sections fill up quickly!
Please remember to review information about transcripts for dual credit coursework and bring any unofficial, in-progress transcripts to your NSO session.
Step 10
Get Involved and Prepare to ROAR
Once you have completed all these steps, it’s time to get excited for your first day! Here are a few key things you can do to get involved in student life.

Check the U ROAR calendar starting in July and save the dates for all your first-year events.
Explore our clubs and organizations and contact a Club President to get started.
Important Deadlines
Submit final dual/concurrent credit official college transcripts upon completion. You must submit final copies or you may be dropped from any courses that require pre-requisite overrides.
Submit final high school transcripts upon graduation. You must submit these transcripts after graduation, or you will not be able to register for your second semester.
Accept Scholarships by August 1, 2025.
