A bottle balancing inside of a wooden block
PIRA: 1J20.60

The neck of a glass bottle is placed through a hole bored through a slanted block of wood. Ordinarily the slanted block would topple over, but when the bottle is placed in it the center of gravity of the system is moved over the base of the slanted block and so the system balances. Some tinkering is necessary to get the center of mass in the right place.
