Materials: Bowling Ball, Metal Cable

The nose basher demonstration does not in fact bash any noses, provided it isn't given any extra push. A bowling ball pendulum is hung from a sturdy eye bolt embedded in the ceiling. Its length should be adjusted such that a volunteer can stand with their back against the wall and the bowling ball can be held just in front of their nose. When released, the ball will swing away from the volunteer and then back, but it will not go past its initial position without violating the conservation of energy. Do Not Push The Ball. Let It Go
