This experiment uses 4 40 W appliance light bulbs in two circuits. The first connects two light bulbs in parallel, the second in series. The first picture shows the circuits unpowered, the second with power. The light bulbs in parallel are clearly brighter than those in series. PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN USING THIS APPARATUS! It uses wall current, and has exposed wires/connectors in several locations.
