This demo is to show how electricity flows through people and sends a shock through them as they gain the charge and then release the charge to the next person. This is done by having one person become charged by the vandegraff standing on the platform and holding there hand on the vandegraff, then you have the chain of people all connected, but do not have the person on the vandegraff connected to anyone yet. On 3 the person in the chain next to the vandegraff person go for a fist bump and the electricity should move through the chain.
