Dr. Jim Lai named ISU Emeritus Faculty

After nearly 30 years with Idaho State University, Dr. Jim Lai said his farewell and made his way into retirement in June 2020. We thank Dr. Lai for his immeasurable contributions to the College and specifically, the Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences over the years. Dr. Lai was named an ISU Emeritus Faculty in 2021.

Dr. Lai began in 1991 as an associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology. His illustrious career and indispensable offerings to the College and to the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences followed, as outlined below.

7/1996 Promoted to Full Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho

7/1/1996 – present: Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho

5/15/1997 – present: Affiliate Member, Cancer Research Section, Mountain States Tumor and Medical Research Institute, 190 E. Bannock, Boise, Idaho

7/1/2001 – 10/31/2006: Assistant Chair, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho
