Pharmacy STRONG. ashp; Celebrate National Pharmacy Week; October 18-24, 2020; #pharmacyweek

October 13, 2020 - POCATELLO, ID | MERIDIAN, ID | ANCHORAGE, AK

Ever wonder who makes sure that you get the right medication? National Pharmacy Week is an annual observance that acknowledges the invaluable contributions that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians make to patient care in hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, and other healthcare settings. Throughout the week, student pharmacists and pharmacy faculty at the Idaho State University College of Pharmacy will share some of the many ways that they help to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Visit the College of Pharmacy social media pages (Instagram, FacebookYouTube and Twitter) during Pharmacy Week, October 18-24, 2020, to learn more about how pharmacists contribute to your care and how you can use medicines safely and effectively.

Your local pharmacist is also available to talk to you directly about your medications. They can help you understand how to use your medicine correctly, what your medicine is supposed to do, and the possibility of reactions or side effects. You can also talk to your pharmacist about how to store and take medication, what foods or activities to avoid, and what to do if you miss a dose. If you would like to talk to someone about your medicines, your pharmacist can help!
