Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) – Health Science concentration

The BS in HS Health Science concentration provides preparation for entry level work in the healthcare industry, and excellent undergraduate preparation for students pursuing many graduate health professions including chiropractic, dentistry, medicine, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies.  Meet with your pre-health professions advisor to determine the most appropriate combination of classes.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) – Occupational Therapy concentration

The BS in HS Occupational Therapy concentration will prepare students to apply to a graduate program in occupational therapy. Graduate occupational therapy programs will accept a wide range of undergraduate degrees, but the B.S. in Health Science with the pre-occupational therapy concentration prepares the student for future practice in health care while efficiently including many prerequisite courses required by entry-level occupational therapy programs throughout the country. Students should check for specific requirements of the programs to which they intend to apply.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) – Accelerated Occupational Therapy concentration

The BS in HS Accelerated Occupational Therapy concentration area will prepare students to apply for early entrance into the ISU three-year Occupational Therapy Program. Students who are accepted for accelerated entry (competitive and limited number) will complete the first pre-professional year of the Occupational Therapy Program, while concurrently completing the 4th and final year of the B.S. in Health Science. Successful students would then complete two more years within the graduate Master of Occupational Therapy Program.
