Research Equipment

The Idaho State University Department of Chemistry is well equipped with the latest instrumentation for scientific research. Our holdings include all of the standard tools for chemical research including FTIR, UV, NMR, AA, GC, GC-MS, Fluorescence, DSC, electrochemical measurement devices, HPLC, IC (ion chromatography) and IMS (ion mobility spectrometry). In addition, we have a laser laboratory, a scanning electron microscope, a high-field multinuclear NMR, and Raman spectrophotometric equipment. Equipment for nuclear chemistry experiments is also available on campus.
