Instant Pot Cooking

August 2020

Quick, cheap and healthy meals are key for college students, especially if you’re an athlete! Instant pot meals can make life so much easier when you’re constantly on the go.

Instant pot meals can be great alternatives to fast food because they are often lower in salt and fat. Not only do these meals tend to be healthier, but the cooking process is not as intimidating as it may seem. All you have to do is put the ingredients in, follow the recipe directions, and enjoy your meal. Lastly, one of the best parts about instant pot cooking is the quick and easy clean up. Since you cook it all in one pot, you only have one pot to clean!

In the past, pressure cookers were known to be explosive and unsafe. Now, new technology has made pressure cooking a much safer experience. If you are still new to instant pot pressure cookers, be sure to follow the directions or a tutorial and things should go smoothly!

All you have to do is look up a recipe (I usually use Pinterest), or you can follow @fuel_bengals on Instagram for some great instant pot recipes. My personal favorite is chicken taco bowls.

A tutorial video on this recipe can also be found on the @fuel_bengals Instagram page.

Go Bengals!
