Outdoor Equipment Rentals
The Outdoor Adventure Center rents equipment to students, faculty, staff, and the community. We offer gear for every season from summer rafting, kayaking and camping, to winter cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and backcountry adventures. Our staff is excited to help you prepare for your next adventure.
Rentals must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your reservation for any reason prior to the day of pickup, you will receive a 50% refund of fees. Cancellations made on the day of pickup are not eligible for any refund. Visit the policy section below to learn more.
Rental Policies
● Reservations may be made over the phone or in person.
● Renter must pay 100% of the total fee due at the time of reservation. We accept Visa and
Mastercard.
● All rentals require a copy of credit card information to be kept on file.
● Equipment is to be picked up after 2PM, unless the items are in stock.
● Renters are responsible for loading their rented equipment and securing it to their vehicle.
● Equipment is to be returned by 2PM on the day it is due.
● Equipment that is returned late will be charged at a daily rate for each day thereafter.
● Equipment is to be returned in the same condition it was rented.
● Equipment must be returned to the Outdoor Adventure Center during open hours.
● A cancellation made for any reason prior to the day of pickup is eligible for a 50%
refund.
● A cancellation made on the day of pickup is not eligible for any refund.
● Refunds will not be issued for inclement weather, early return, non-use of rented
equipment, or any other reason.
● Fees will be assessed for any equipment that is excessively dirty, damaged, and/or
deemed un-serviceable.
● If an item is damaged beyond repair, the renter will be charged the cost of replacement.
● If an item is lost or stolen, the renter will be charged the cost of replacement.
The Outdoor Adventure Center, out of necessity must presume the renter is knowledgeable and will use the equipment wisely and accepts no responsibility for any damage to the person or property of the renter.
