CAL Chairs Council
CAL Chairs Council is a coordinating and advisory body for the College of Arts and Letters, which is chaired and organized by the CAL Dean. The council members are a bridge between faculty, departments, and administration. Chairs Council provides feedback on and recommends changes to CAL guidelines, especially as they relate to implementing university policy. Chairs participate in shared governance by contributing broadly to college-level decision-making. They seek to understand how policies, procedures, and practices impact faculty, students, and the functioning of academic departments. They consider how institutional changes relate to their ability to deliver academic programs and fulfill the institutional mission at the level of the academic unit.
CAL Chairs Council is composed of the Deans and Department Chairs for each of our CAL units
