Major in Business Informatics

Business Informatics focuses on developing software and hardware systems that make it possible for a business to function more effectively from an IT perspective, ultimately providing an organization with a competitive advantage based on superior application of information technology.

The Business Informatics major prepares students for a wide variety of careers, including systems analysis, application software development, web development, and database design. As a Business Informaticist, students become familiar and practiced in all areas of business in order to better accomodate business operations in the areas of software and hardware systems.

Our business informatics program not only offers software development and programming classes, but a breadth of course offerings that include analytical thinking and problem solving, communication, system modeling and business concepts.
