ESL - English as a Second Language

ESL classes help students speak, read, write, and understand English to communicate more effectively in the community, prepare for higher-level instruction, or enter the workplace. Beginning and advanced ESL classes, including special conversation sections are offered.

A class combining instruction in both ESL and American civics is also available and may be of particular interest to students seeking American citizenship. ESL and Civics classes include the following:

  • Beginning English
  • Intermediate English
  • Advanced English
  • Conversation
  • Civics

All ESL and Civics classes are offered to community members at no cost. Regular attendance is required.

For more information on any of these classes, and how to enroll, please contact Mary Guyton, Administrative Assistant, at (208) 282-2485.
