Accessibility Survey
While more detailed timelines, resources, and implementation guidance will be provided in the coming months, we are sharing a preliminary institutional timeline now to give you an overview of our direction and next steps.
Time Line
Spring 2025: EIT Committee will meet to discuss the changes and updates to law and to determine a path forward.
Summer 2025: A survey will be developed to determine areas of strength and needs. Upon completion, the survey will be disseminated to key groups identified by the EIT committee.
Fall 2025: EIT Committee will review information obtained from the survey to develop an accessibility action plan that includes a timeline for completion.
Spring 2026: Department of Justice extends Title 2 Deadline to April 26, 2027.
Summer 2026: Survey completed. Innovation Hub and the EIT committee start strategic planning process.
Fall 2026: Accessibility plan launched. EIT committee meets quarterly to monitor and measure ongoing campus accessibility needs.
Spring 2027: The accessibility plan integrated and EIT committee continues to meet quarterly to monitor and measure ongoing accessibility needs.
Where Are We Now?
Spring 2025: EIT Committee met several times to determine path forward. Completed

Fall 2025: Survey still in progress
Spring 2026: ITRC developed and launched campus wide ADA Title II Training. Survey still in progress.
Summer 2026: Survey completed. Reviewed by the Administrative Council.
Fall 2026: Submitted project support through the ISU Innovation Hub. Dr. Craig Chatriand, VP of Student Affairs is assigned as the project sponsor and delivers the call to action to the EIT Committee. ISUPP 1020 under review.
