Background Check for the MSW Program

All applicants to the Master in Social Work program are required to complete a criminal background check. These background checks are done using the online services of CaslteBranch.com. The package cost is $68.50, and is paid online at the time of submission. Please refer to the Social Work Background Check Policy.

To complete the background check:

• Visit CastleBranch.com
• Click on the "Place Order" button
• Enter in the Package Code: II24, and click the "Submit" button
• Follow the directions to set up your myCB account, and submit your background check

Please remember that you will need to monitor your background check after it has been submitted, and follow up with the fingerprinting process as directed.

When you submit your background check, you will receive an order confirmation. Save the file as a pdf in this format (last name, first name - confirmation.pdf). Email the document to msw@isu.edu. 

The criminal history check must be "in progress" or completed before an application is accepted for review. A recent background check conducted by the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare may be acceptable with documentation.
