Kurtis has worked for ISU since 2010 as a VIM first on the Twin Falls campus for 5 years and then transferred to Idaho Falls in 2015. He currently also serves as an Ombud.

Previous to coming to ISU his professional experience consisted of receiving a Bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in video production with a clusters (half minors) in business and technical theatre From Brigham Young University-Idaho. While attending BYU-I he also worked for Event Services doing video production and shooting live events. He eventually became the Lead Student Video Technician on his crew and as such was the Technical Director for many of the live shoots and even directed a number of live events as well. Upon graduation in 2008  Kurtis worked full time for a short period as the Master Control Coordinator. 

Other interesting jobs expereince he has is making fry’s at Wendy’s, being an Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree and working in a call center for Dish Network. Some hobbies includes having a technical class Ham Radio license, actively involved as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member, and a Assistant Emergency Communication Specialist for his neighborhood. He and his family are also a licensed Foster Home
