Depending on your situation, there may be various options available to you for tuition support. Please read the following options carefully to determine the best option for you. We would also love to meet with you or your employer to discuss payment options.

EMPLOYER SUPPORTED

We encourage you to seek support from your employer to pay for all or part of your course tuition. Training improves productivity and efficiency, leads to higher morale and engagement, helps attract and retain talented CHWs, fosters innovation, and provides a competitive advantage for CHWs through a more skilled and adaptable workforce. We appreciate organizations who are able to support their CHW employees by paying for their employees’ course tuition.

DIRECT PAYMENT

You can pay the course tuition directly if the previously listed options do not work for you. If you are interested in the training, but unable to pay, tuition assistance may be available. Email sarahhibbert@isu.edu for more information.

Behavioral Health Focused CHW Training Sessions

For CHWs working in behavioral health settings in Idaho, with an emphasis on those serving children, adolescents, and transitional-age youth in high-need communities, we will have an annual cohort of trainees who apply and are accepted into the 2026 session of the CHW Core, Advanced, and Practicum that is focused on Behavioral Health as part of the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program for Paraprofessionals by the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The Behavioral Health Focused CHW Core course is planned to start January 2026. If you are interested in that BH focused training and/or the Idaho CHW Apprenticeship program, please email sarahhibbert@isu.edu for more information.
