Course Details
Description: The CHW Advanced Training Course is designed to expand knowledge and competencies for CHWs through self-paced curriculum, synchronous online sessions, and experiential learning through community or clinical tracks with a rotation at a preceptor site. Students successfully completing the core course and course evaluation, receive an Advanced CHW Training Certificate of Completion.
Audience: This course is designed to be taken after the CHW Core Training Course for those seeking to further expand and practice CHW skills.
Style: Hybrid - 96 contact hours total, of which 48 hours are practicum contact hours, multiple sessions are available throughout the year

The CHW Advanced Training is offered through Continuing Education and Workforce Training at Idaho State University. You do not need to be an ISU student to enroll in this course. Continuing Education credits through the University are also available for a small additional cost.
