March Through the Arch

Congratulations on your enrollment at Idaho State University!

Welcome to our newest Bengals!

We are so glad that you have made the decision to join our Bengal Family, and we look forward to meeting you in person as soon as possible.

We understand that your home communities, like ours here at ISU, are experiencing a significant challenge in responding to the current health concerns precipitated by COVID-19. We understand that the uncertainty in our nation is coinciding with the  timing of your transition into a new collegiate experience. The faculty and staff of Idaho State University are committed to protecting your health and safety even as we also strive to ensure that student support services like New Student Orientation are still made available to you.

New Student Programs at ISU support the academic and social transition of undergraduate first-year and transfer students. Our programs consist of two steps: an Online Pre-Orientation followed by a New Student Orientation at each ISU campus. Click on the link below to learn more details about both steps, based on the semester that you will begin at ISU.

Pre-Orientation Curriculum

The Online Pre-Orientation courses are required of all first year and transfer students entering in Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Summer 2021, and Fall 2021. Information related to the module will also be emailed to students directly at their ISU email address. You will need your ISU email address and password to sign in. For questions specifically regarding the courses, please contact New Student Programs at nso@isu.edu or 208-282-4588. Tutorials are available for Online Pre-Orientation: Online Orientation Tutorial & Safe Colleges Tutorial

Safe Colleges login

**For the Safe Colleges courses, it may take up to 10 business days after being admitted to ISU for your login to work.  Thank you for your patience.**

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (the live program held at each campus) is required of all incoming new first-year/first time college students. Transfer students are not required to attend New Student Orientation, but are welcome to RSVP for any session of their choice. The New Student Orientation schedule is designed to support the academic and social transition of our newest Bengals into the ISU family.  Attendees will interact with student leaders, meet with faculty, and learn more about the student support services of ISU.

New Student Orientation for Spring 2021 students will be held virtually on January 8, 2021. Dates of New Student Orientation for students entering Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 will be announced in January 2021.
