What Matters to Me: Shared Decisions in Health & Healing

Wednesday, October 7, 2026 | 2:00 – 5:00 PM

Pocatello • Meridian • Anchorage

Your Voice Matters!

Join us for an afternoon of meaningful conversation with healthcare students from Idaho State University. Together, we'll talk about what matters most to you in your health and your senior years, and how to share that with the people who care for you.

What to Expect

We've designed this afternoon to be relaxed, welcoming, and easy to follow — no rushing, no pressure to be an expert on anything. Here's how the time together will unfold:

2:00 PM — Welcome

We'll kick things off with a short welcome to help you get comfortable and meet the people at your table.

2:00 – 2:20 PM — Keynote Talk

A short talk to open up our theme: what it means to have a voice in your own healthcare.

2:20 – 3:10 PM — Panel Conversation

A panel of local voices — healthcare providers and community members — will share their perspectives and answer questions.

3:10 – 3:30 PM — Break

Time to stretch, enjoy some light refreshments, and chat with the people around you.

3:30 – 5:00 PM — Small Group Conversations

This is the heart of the afternoon. You'll join a small table with healthcare students to talk through a real-life scenario together. There are no wrong answers — we simply want to hear what matters to you.

5:00 PM — Wrap Up
