Bengals Helping Bengals

hands

Bengals Helping Bengals is a peer support program. Losing a loved one to suicide is painful and confusing. But you are not alone, we have also been there. Recovery takes time, but it is possible, there is another side to the intense pain we feel in the immediate aftermath of a loss. The Bengals Helping Bengals program connects ISU students, faculty, and staff with trained faculty/staff who have also lost a loved one to suicide and are able to be a support to help you feel less alone. Faculty and staff volunteers are not counselors. They are caring members of our Bengal community who are able to assist and connect people with counselors if more assistance is needed.

Please call (208) 282-2130 or email rickpongratz@isu.edu or sherylyee@isu.edu. The CMHC and Rick or Sheryl can assist you in getting connected with our Bengal Helpers.
