Mindfulness Meditation
The ISU Counseling and Mental Health Center offers a weekly meditation group for all members of the ISU community - students, faculty, and staff. This group provides a welcoming and supportive space to build mindfulness skills that can help reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall well-being. Each session is led by a trained, licensed professional and includes guided mindfulness practices such as breath awareness, walking meditation, body scans, and guided imagery.
No prior meditation experience is necessary, and no special equipment is required. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Chairs, yoga mats, and meditation cushions are provided.
Meetings are held every Friday in Graveley Hall, 2nd floor, Room 250, from 11:00 to 11:50 AM, throughout the semester. Please arrive by 11:10 AM and plan to stay until the end of the session. No RSVP is needed; drop-ins are welcome.
