Ethnographic Labs

A man and woman sit at a table in Alaska.
Ethnographic labs are small research spaces for analyses of ethnographic materials collected by cultural anthropologists in the field, such as interviews, photographs and video, maps, GIS data, surveys, and other project materials.
Current field projects include
  • women in fishing economies in Chile
  • historical ecology of Pacific cod fisheries and communities in Alaska
  • amenity migration in rural Idaho
  • marine energy development in rural Alaska
