Dear Educators,

We are looking for educators who have earned their master's degree or higher to develop 100% online self-paced, instructor-less, courses for our organization. Course developers will be paid $4,000 for 2 credit courses and $6,000 for 3 credit courses.

More Information

The Albion Center for Professional Development, housed in the College of Education at Idaho State University, provides courses to P-12 educators nationwide. To meet the needs of educators seeking continuing education, we are currently accepting proposals from professionals who hold a minimum of a master’s degree. If your proposal is accepted, you will create a 100% online & self-paced course using our template and tutorial with staff to assist you throughout the process. Once completed, the course will be instructor-less, and no facilitation or updating is required.

The current stipend rate we are offering for course development is $4,000 for a 2 credit course and $6,000 for a 3 credit course. Each credit requires 15 hours of content.

Please make sure that your CV/Resume reflects education/experience relevant to the topic proposed.

Proposals can be submitted at any time using the form below. Proposals will be reviewed the first week of February, April, June, August, October, and December. You will be contacted by Albion staff once your proposal has been reviewed and we will notify you on your proposal acceptance or rejection.

Types of Courses

We are looking for 3 types of courses:

  1. Perspective specific courses. What does education look like in your area (urban vs rural, student demographics, socioeconomic challenges), education viewed from your grade level or subject (courses on teaching 1st grade, middle school science, or a course on changing the grade you teach), position specific courses (high school counselor, librarian, administrator, etc). 

  2. Courses that are mandated by your State Department of Education. In your course proposal, please note what state the course is mandated in.

  3. We are interested in contracting courses from the topics below. If you specialize in any of the topics below, we would be happy to receive a proposal about it!

  • Technology (AI, Coding, Applications, Academic Integrity in a World of AI, etc.)
  • Mathematics
  • Speech Language Therapy
  • Health Education/Nutrition/Disorders (ASL/Hearing, ADHD, etc.)
  • Educational Perspective (Urban/Rural Schools) (Education on Reservations) (Courses by Position e.g. Librarian, PE, Music, Counselor, Social Worker, Administrator, etc.) (Specific Issues in your Geographical Location)
  • Instructional Design
  • Workforce Readiness
  • ESL
  • Current Topics in Education
  • Social Emotional Learning and Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Mandated Courses by your State/District
  • Educator Ethics
  • Child Development
