Our new pathways will be open for registration on September 8, 2026. Legacy courses will close for registration on August 31, 2026.

How do I know which pathway meets my state’s requirements?

Planning your path to renew your K–12 teaching certification or advance on your district’s salary schedule starts with understanding your specific state requirements.

There, you can review the exact renewal or advancement criteria for your state — including whether you need clock hours, semester credits, letter grades, or other documentation.

Please note: Requirements vary by state, district, and charter school. BEFORE registering, it is the responsibility of each student to confirm directly with their licensing authority or HR department as to whether ISU Albion Center courses satisfy the appropriate salary advancement or recertification criteria.

Why did the Albion Center for Professional Development change their courses?

As an institution of higher education, we are committed to continuous improvement. Changes to courses are focused on increasing high-quality content that delivers real-world tools which can be applied within the classroom right away. It’s about making learning deeper, more meaningful, and more aligned with what teachers want and need within the classroom. Our courses are designed to be transformational, not transactional.

I am planning on taking certain courses. I need pre-approval for these courses. Will they be available?

The current catalog of courses are available through 11:59 pm (MT) August 31, 2026, after which time no new enrollments will be possible. The new catalog of courses will open for enrollment at 12:00 am (MT) on September 8, 2026.

I’m currently enrolled in a course — does this impact me?

Individuals currently enrolled in a course still have 12 months from the date of enrollment to complete the course. If you enrolled in courses prior to September 1, 2026, you will have 12 months from the date you enrolled to complete the course with no need to enroll in our new system. Credits awarded from legacy courses will not be affected by this change.
