HEP (High School Equivalency Program) at Idaho State University assists migrant agricultural individuals and their immediate families obtain a GED. El Programa de Equivalencia de la Preparatoria de la Universidad de Idaho ayuda a las personas agrícolas migrantes y sus familias inmediatas obtener un GED.

Our Goals and Purpose

Our goal is to prosper migrant farmworkers and their families' education, to obtain a brighter future. Our program is designed to:

  1. Offer FREE resources (laptops, and course materials) to effectively complete their GED. 
  2. Provide a safe space to those who have not been in school for a number of years. 
  3. Arrange one-on-one meetings with our instructors to ensure progress goes smoothly. 
  4. Aid those who have a desire to continue with their education.

Nuestro objetivo es hacer prosperar las labores agrícolas de los migrantes y la educación de sus familias, para obtener un futuro mejor. Nuestro programa está diseñado para:

  1. Ofrezca recursos GRATUITOS (computadoras portátiles y materiales del curso) para completar efectivamente su GED.
  2. Brindar un espacio seguro a quienes no han asistido a la escuela durante varios años.
  3. Organice reuniones individuales con nuestros instructores para garantizar que el progreso se desarrolle sin problemas.
  4. Ayudar a aquellos que tienen el deseo de continuar con su educación.

HEP aims to engage rural communities in Southeast Idaho and empower migrant seasonal farmworkers with a passage into educational achievement and personal growth.
